The day finally came.
They relaxed their guard and decided the world would be safe once again with my presence among the general population. I was no longer a threat to public safety, and they no longer needed to protect the world from me.
I just had to wait for the doctor to give his official “okay”. I was so anxious to leave, I had my bag packed, and I stood in the doorway of my room.
I felt good—really good!
I don’t think I arrived home until late afternoon or early evening that day.
It was wonderful to finally be back in my home and back with my family. I was tired that evening, but I didn’t think too much of it. It wasn’t until the next day that I began to learn what life was going to be like and how much things had changed.
